Hello every one. This is Rick KC2ESD and I have done this for about a year. I have one TV a 19 inch Insignia HDTV connected to an antenna. I get get plenty of stations over the air in High Def. Crystal clear reception on an antenna. I get Ch 40 NBC WMGM, Ch 10, Ch 3 Ch 23, 17, and others Over the Air! I do this as I love receiving signals with out the help of a cable network and also as a back up in case the cable system fails. I have use this TV at Field Day to demo to others how you can get TV without cable and also used it to see the weather radar while operating at the Field Day site. I have used the 19 inch TV during the power outage of Sandy. I had the HDTV connected to a Rabbit Ear antenna that came with the TV and power came from a inverter that was in my car. While others could not watch TV my family was able to watch the news from CH 40 WMGM www.nbc40.net and see the in pack of the Sandy did. If you have a HDTV set up one to receive off an antenna in case you need to watch TV when to cable is out. Rick KC2ESD

I seen others getting Generators being installed as back up systems such as The Log Cabin and Maynards Bars in Margate NJ and also in homes. I am going to tell these people to get a Antenna for their TV sets so they can see whats going on when the power goes out as it is becoming a common thing that is going on the the Downbeach area. Also so Bar patrons can Watch sports when the power is out.
